| Law, graduate, and undergraduate students can benefit from an internship at FIAC. Internships are available in impact advocacy, general civil, and direct services in the areas of immigration, domestic violence, and public benefits. Interns may also participate in FIAC's community education work. Law school interns generally participate in the representation of clients. Fluency in Spanish or Haitian Creole is especially useful in assisting clients. Internships are available for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, with an expectation of at least 10-15 hours per week. Although internships are unpaid, school credit may be available. Students considering an internship should inquire with their school, The Florida Bar Foundation, or other institutions about fellowships and funding possibilities.
Internship Application Process
To apply for an internship, please send a resume and cover letter specifying areas of interest as well as the semester, start date, and hours of availability to Sharon Ginter at sginter@fiacfla.org. Applications are accepted year-round.
