Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for HaitiansIt’s great that Haitian Temporary Protected Status (TPS) has been broadened: Haitians in the U.S. as of January 12, 2011 may be eligible for this special temporary immigration status. Those who already have TPS can re-apply before the Aug. 22, 2011, deadline to extend their status another 18 months. Haitians who did not apply earlier or arrived after the earthquake may be eligible and can apply before the Nov 15, 2011 deadline. |
